If you are wondering how to meet people from your course while in lockdown and you haven’t yet signed up for a CityBuddy Mentor, there are still plenty of places available. Sign up here. We will then match you up with a student from your course in their second or third year.
Once you’ve done that you’ll be able to come along to the CityBuddies Café! We’re inviting all mentors and mentees for a virtual coffee social on Tuesday 24th November. Join us for a chance to meet the team, chat about your mentoring experience, and meet other students on the scheme.
We are also encouraging all CityBuddy Mentors to arrange group Zoom catchups with the first year students they are matched with, so it could be a great time to meet new people and share tips on how to make the best of a winter indoors!
Come along to the “How to find a placement, internship or volunteering opportunity” Careers Workshop on Wednesday 11th November, where you can ask our Community Volunteering Officer any questions that you have around volunteering.
You can find opportunities to volunteer remotely through our Community Volunteering service. Volunteering can help you develop new skills, meet new people and make a difference. Browse the opportunities on our website – https://volunteering.city.ac.uk
