City Covid-19 Emergency Fund
City understands the impact that the Coronavirus outbreak maybe having on our students and have set up the City Emergency Fund for students affected by the Coronavirus.
If you are struggling financially or facing hardship as a result of the current situation related to Covid-19 you may be able to access a £200 grant from the City Covid-19 Emergency Fund.
It is important to note that the fund is limited and should not be viewed as a form of funding to replace long-term loss of income or additional costs generally. Due to the vast number of students effected by Covid-19 the grant value has been reduced to £200.

If you are struggling financially or facing hardship as a result of the current situation related to Covid-19 you may be able to access some short-term emergency financial support from the City Emergency Covid-19 Fund. Applications can be accessed online, and you need to complete all of the required information on the form so your application can be assessed quickly.
Please note that our City Emergency Covid-19 Fund is available for short term support only, and grants will be allocated on a case by case basis. The fund is limited, and should not be viewed as a form of funding to replace long-term loss of income or meet all additional costs; however we will seek to support those who are facing unexpected hardship as best we can. There is no guarantee of a grant and assessments are based on emergency financial hardship. We are unable to provide any support towards payment of tuition fees.
You must be:
- Home, EU or International Students
- Studying a minimum of 25% of the full time equivalent course*
- Financially affected by the Coronavirus outbreak
*Excludes short course and INTO students
- A grant of up to £200
- This grant will not affect any other funds you are due from City.
To compete the application form you will need:
- Your City student number
- An explanation of how you are financially affected by the Covid-19
- Your bank details
We understand that the situation is constantly changing and we aim to assess your application and notify you by email as soon as possible but in some cases within 10 working days.
