As announced last Friday, City will be hosting The Duchess of Sussex’s first visit official visit as Patron of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) on Thursday 31st January.

This is not a visit to City as such and will be an opportunity for The Duchess to meet ACU staff and Commonwealth students.

Staff, students and members of the public are welcome to form part of the reception crowd in Northampton Square before The Duchess is met by the ACU Secretary General and President Professor Sir Paul Curran.

The main entrance to University Building and the Pavilion will be closed for the day tomorrow.

Alternative access into and out of University Building will be through the Tait entrance via Goswell Road and entrance beneath the Refectory. Other areas in Lower Ground Drysdale will be accessible via Spencer Street entrance.

The lift from the main entrance to the Library will be suspended tomorrow. The lifts located at the Refectory end of the building will be unaffected.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
