Welcome to City! We are excited that you will be joining us at City and looking forward to welcoming you for the 2021-2022 academic year.  This year, our Welcome Week will be taking place from Monday 27th September – Friday 1st October and will be a combination of face-to-face, hybrid and online sessions which means everyone can take part wherever you are in the world. There's a great range of in-person and online activities from the University and the Students’ Union to help you have fun, meet new people, and settle in. We’ll be sharing the timetable with you in the coming weeks.

We are glad that you have decided to be part of a global university located in the heart of London. Our focus is on business and the professions. Our research creates value for our economy, our local community, wider society, and our environment. Our students and staff undertake world-leading and internationally excellent research. At City we have five specialist schools that contain outstanding academic departments, faculties, divisions, and research centres. Each is home to a unique range of expert teaching and research. You can learn more about our schools here.

For those of you interested in learning more about postgraduate study, over 30 per cent of our students are studying at this level, creating a community of around 3,000 postgraduates that includes over 500 doctoral researchers. City’s Doctoral College works with our academic Schools to meet the personal and professional needs of our many doctoral researchers. You can get more information on the Doctoral College here.
