Here are some of the Campus News team's top tips for things to do in London this month as we move into the New Year.

1. Visit Christmas Markets

London’s Christmas markets are magical! Head to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park for a mix of stalls, rides, and shows. For a more traditional feel, visit Southbank Centre’s Winter Market, where you can shop for gifts and look out onto the Houses of Parliament across the Thames.

VisitLondon has put together a list of the best Christmas Markets in London.

2. See the Christmas Lights

London's famous Christmas lights are a must-see. Walk along Oxford Street, Regent Street, and Covent Garden to enjoy dazzling displays. There's also a giant Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square.

3. Go Ice Skating

Skate at the Natural History Museum Ice Rink or try the Somerset House Ice Rink for a stunning backdrop.

4. Shop for Holiday Gifts

For something unique, visit craft fairs like the Christmas by the River Market at London Bridge.

5. Explore Festive Attractions

December is the perfect time to visit Kew Gardens for its Christmas at Kew light trail or see the animals at London Zoo’s Christmas Experience.

6. Watch a Pantomime

Check out great shows like Aladdin at the Lyric Hammersmith or Dick Whittington and his Cat at Hackney Empire.

We hope you have a great time exploring London over the next few weeks! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
