Progression Pathways is a brand-new programme designed to help build students’ communication, networking and digital literacy skills, key skills that employers are looking for.

Published Friday, 22nd November, 2024 in University news

The programme, which is for students who identify as Black or Mixed Race, is delivered through a series of workshops and sessions. Students will be able to define their personal goals, develop their brand and leave with actionable takeaways.

The programme has five key events, with the Christmas party coming up on Monday 9 December. This will be followed by a training workshop and digital literacy session in the new year.

Explore the programme in depth and apply to be part of the programme.

Through the programme, students can learn what the Student Digital Skills team and other professional services can do to support them throughout their studies. They’ll also get to share their lived experiences, build and be part of a supportive network , and explore how to use their uniqueness as they go into the world of employment.

The programme will end in the summer term with an off-campus celebration of what’s been achieved with the community the programme has helped to build. Students will be able to give feedback as the programme goes along to help ensure it’s as beneficial as possible.
