Buy tickets for your physical graduation
Graduands are admitted to the ceremony free of charge. We offer each graduand the opportunity to purchase a maximum of two guest tickets at a cost of £25 per ticket - this includes a post-ceremony reception for all guests and new graduates.
Visas for you and your guests for physical graduation
You may need to apply for a visa to return to the UK to attend your ceremony, so here is some practical advice to help you.
If you have a Student visa that expires before the date of your graduation, you must return to your home country before it expires and return to the UK on a tourist visa.
If you change the type of visa you have before graduation, for example if you get a job here, then you will no longer be bound by the Student visa regulations, but subject to the rules of your new visa you may be able to attend graduation.
Your guests may need a visas to come to your graduation and information about Visitor visas for family is available on the City website.
The venue for City, University of London's graduation ceremonies is The Barbican Centre, on Silk Street in the City of London.
The Barbican is Europe's largest multi-arts venue and is located between Barbican and Moorgate underground stations, and close to Liverpool Street and Farringdon railway stations.
Further information on the venue can be found on the Barbican Centre website.
