In need of a little financial help? Worry not! There’s plenty of support available for you at City, including the City Education Grant (formerly the City, University of London Scholarship Programme), which was created for students who are in need of help to study

If you are a returning student who received a City, University of London Scholarship Programme (CULSP) in the first year of your degree, you will continue to get the same award for the rest of your studies at City, as long as you are still in receipt of student loans from Student Finance England for your second and third years of study (the award is for a maximum of three years).

If you are a new student, the City Education Grant consists of a £3,000 annual award, for a maximum of three years, available to students who started their City undergraduate degree as their first university education experience in 2018. Only students who meet the criteria will be assessed for an award - check if you’re eligible to apply for the bursary here. There's a set amount of funding available, and students who meet the priority criteria will be awarded first.

To be considered for the City Education Grant, you must have applied for Student Finance through Student Finance England (SFE). In your application, you must have provided your annual household income and both you and your sponsors/parents/partner/guardians must give consent to share your household income with City, University of London by 31st October 2018.

You should contact Student Finance England directly to give permission to share information on 0300 100 0607 if you have not already done so when completing the application process for your loans.

If you are awarded a grant, you will be contacted during January 2019 through your City email address. The grants will be awarded directly to your bank account via SFE in two equal amounts in January and April.
