The Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 sets out that Higher Education Institutions must have 'due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.' This is known as the 'Prevent duty'. City, University of London became subject to the 'Prevent duty' on 18th September 2015.

A copy of City's draft Prevent Action Plan (2018/19) is available here.
