The University and Students' Union have teamed up to run a competition where you could be in with a chance of winning some amazing prizes!

They want you to share your Welcome experiences with us in our #KeyToCity Instagram competition, so it's time to great creative.

You may have your own Key to City, have printed a digital version or collected one off campus from the Students' Union reception desk. If you have one, be sure to use it in your entry if you can!

The terms and conditions are as follows:

  1. To enter, you must be a new or current City, University of London undergraduate or postgraduate student enrolled on a City course as of September 2022.
  2. To enter, you must: Share a photo on Instagram (stories or grid) with (or without) your physical #KeyToCity in a creative way - on campus, at home, somewhere in London, anywhere! We want you to submit a photo that represents your time at City as a new or returning student.
  3. You must be following our Students’ Union (@CityUniSU), Student Centre (@custudentcentre) and main City, University of London (@cityuniversitylondon) on Instagram to enter.
  4. You must tag the above accounts in your photo and use the hashtags #KeyToCity and #MyCityUni to enter.
  5. The prizes are as follows: 
    First prize: £400 Apple gift card
    Second prize: £100 UK retailer gift card (retailer TBC)
    - Third prize: £50 UK retailer gift card (retailer) TBC
  6. A shortlist for the three prizes will be chosen by the City, University of London and Students’ Union marketing teams and the overall, second and third place winners will be decided via an Instagram Stories vote on Tuesday 18 October 2022.
  7. The winners will be contacted via direct message (DM) in the first instance on Thursday 20 October 2022 and then publicly announced through social media. These announcements will include the name / social media handle of the winner and the winning image.
  8. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  9. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  10. The competition runs between Wednesday 21 September 2022 – Friday 14 October 2022. Outside these dates, no further entries to the competition will be accepted.
  11. City, University of London will notify the winners with details of when and where the prize can be collected.
  12. Any personal data relating to the winner and any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party.
  13. By entering this competition each entrant confirms that their submissions are their wholly-owned creations and that, to the extent that such entries make use of any third party materials, these have been fully cleared unless they are no longer protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights.
  14. By submitting an entry, each entrant grants the University a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to edit, publish, translate, modify, adapt, make available and distribute the entry throughout the world in any media now known or hereafter invented.
  15. City, University of London reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
