Islamophobia Awareness Month is a campaign that showcases the positive contributions of Muslims and raises awareness of Islamophobia in society.

The theme for this year’s campaign is #MuslimStories. It is hoped that through the power of storytelling, the campaign can create and strengthen relationships between people from a range of different backgrounds.  

We’d like to invite you to share your stories of inspiring Muslim role models or positive changes you’ve made to tackle Islamophobia. Everyone is welcome to take part.

You could talk about a time when you or someone you know has positively changed things, inspired you or stood up against something that wasn’t right. Please send your story to  Campus News.

If possible, we would like to share these stories with the wider City community at the end of November.

Muslim stories in City Library - Visit the library's display of incredible books sharing 'Muslim stories and the contributions and achievements of Muslim people.'

Islamophobia Awareness Month 2023 Virtual exhibition - Islamophobia awareness invites you to view its online virtual awareness exhibition which celebrates the contributions of Muslim people in society and explores how we can all tackle Islamophobia.

  • The Chaplaincy and Faith Advisory team offer pastoral support to everyone, welcoming all students regardless of faith, belief or culture. The team is made up of the Chaplaincy Co-ordinator, Reverend Ian Worsfold, Imam, Sheikh Musa Admani and five six Honorary Chaplains - Reverend David Allen, Reverend Andrew Baughen, Rabbi Gavin Broder, Sister Anabel Gonzalez, Mr Kishan Paun and Father Gregory Wellington.   • You Report, We Support can be used to report a concern, an incident that has occurred, or to make a disclosure regarding your own or someone else's safety and wellbeing. Once you submit a report, if appropriate, a Safeguarding & Welfare Officers will contact you. Any forms completed anonymously will be retained for data purposes only and you will not be contacted. You can submit a form online.
  • Bullying and Harassment Advisors are the first point of contact for students concerned about harassment, bullying and other related inappropriate behaviours. More information can be found on the Student Hub.
