This October City invites you to join it in celebrating Black Futures Month, a reimagining of Black History Month, focussed on the future of Black Excellence, Liberation and collective Black Joy. This year’s theme is #SalutingOurSisters and is a recognition of the incredible contributions made by Black women within our society.

Join City's Network for Racial Justice for a screening of the film Rye Lane. From breakout director Rain Allen-Miller, Rye Lane is a light-hearted romantic comedy starring David Jonsson and Vivian Oparah as Dom and Yas, two twenty-somethings both reeling from bad break-ups, who connect over the course of an eventful day in South London – helping each other deal with their nightmare exes, and potentially restoring their faith in romance.

This unique workshop offers a safe and welcoming space for individuals of all experience levels to come together and explore the power of movement.
Online information session for the Bayes Black British ScholarshipTuesday 31 October4pm-5pmOnlineBayes is offering up to ten scholarships each year for Black undergraduate students from Britain from lower-income households. Each scholarship covers the full tuition fee (at home-fee level) and a £6,000 annual stipend for three years. This online event is a chance for prospective students, parents, teachers and advisers to learn about the scholarship, hear from current students about their experiences of studying at Bayes Business School and find out about the programmes on offer. There will also be a Q&A session at the end.

There will be refreshments and opportunities to connect with fellow student and members of staff.
