The Office for Students (OfS) has launched a consultation on the proposed new name, City St George’s, University of London. The new name is due to take affect following the merging of City, University of London and St George’s, University of London, which is taking place on Thursday 1 August 2024.

The proposed new name has been chosen to reflect the history and legacy of the two institutions to form one, world class university.

The OfS consultation invites views from students and their representatives, universities, colleges and the public on whether the new name is, or has the potential to be, confusing or misleading.

The consultation is open until midday on Friday 24 May 2024. You can read more about it and take part on the OfS website.

You can read more about the merger on the Student Hub.
