Social sport

Non-competitive social sports, a great way to make friends and try out new activities.

We appreciate your studies are important to you, which may be the main reason you’ve chosen to attend City, University of London. However, we also believe that taking time away from your books to relax and remain healthy in body and mind is also essential, and what better way to do this than by getting involved in social sport?

Our CityActive programme is a great way to meet new friends from other courses and to try out new activities in a fun and friendly environment.

How is it different to joining a sports club?

You are not required to play competitively or enter try outs - just come along to CitySport, by yourself or with friends, and join in with everyone else there.

Sessions take place during term time and cost £2. All equipment is provided – all you need to do is pre-register on our system (see details below). You can then turn up with your City, University of London student ID card, pay and play. It’s that simple, and with no weekly commitment our sessions are ideal for those with a busy course schedule.

So why not make the most of your university experience and sign up to a session or two?

CityActive sessions will resume week commencing Monday 23 January 2023.
