This week, Monday 15th February – Friday 20th February, is National Student Money Week (NSMW) at City. NSMW is an annual campaign where universities work together to bring free money advice to students across the UK.

2020 was a year full of surprises affecting the global economy and us all. Being financially ready for anything has become an important focus for many, so the theme for this year’s National Student Money Week is how to get ready for the unexpected.

As part of the campaign, there are lots of digital initiatives to help you get planning for a rainy day including:

  • A three-day email learning bootcamp
  • A pocket-size book with all the financial planning strategies you need
  • Live financial planning webinars (Tuesday 23rd February and Thursday 25th February)

NSMW is offering amazing prizes to won for those who complete their email bootcamp, including four ‘emergency pots’ worth £250 each and one-on-one sessions with financial planning experts.

Discovered all that this year’s NWMS has to offer at nationalstudentmoneyweek.com.

Outside of NSMW, here at City, there is a range of support and advice available to students. In particular, you can get in touch with the Student Funding Team and the Students’ Union Money Advice service.
