During the winter break, university opening hours and services will be reduced. Find out what support you can still access.

Over the winter holidays, most City services will be closed or functioning with reduced opening hours from the evening of Thursday 21 December 2023 - Monday 1 January 2024. Here you are some of the services or support you can still access until the University fully re-opens on Tuesday 2 January 2024.
Support@City
All student services that you can access through Support@City, such as Accommodation, Student Funding and Student Health & Wellbeing will be closed between Friday 22 December 2023 – Monday 1 January 2024, reopening on Tuesday 2 January 2024.
You can still raise queries through Support@City, but these will not be responded to until January.
There are many online wellbeing resources available to you during this period, such as the City Wellbeing App, Togetherall and Shout. If you need to access urgent wellbeing support, please see our crisis and emergency and specialist helpline pages.
Library Services
City's libraries will be open for the following times below:
- Wednesday 20 December
- Northampton Square Library will be open 9am-9pm
- The Business and Law libraries will be open 9am-5pm
- Thursday 21 December
- All libraries will be open 9am-5pm
- Friday 22 - Saturday 23 December & Wednesday 27 - Sunday 31 December
- Northampton Square Library will be open for self-service use and reference use between 10am-6pm
During this period laptop loans will be available for all undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research students.

IT Support
IT Service points such as Northampton Square Library and Bayes Business School Library will close on Thursday 21 December 2023, 4pm and will re-open on Tuesday 2 January 2024, 8am.
The Onsite IT Service Desk telephone support will operate until Thursday 21 December 2023, 5pm.
The team will be offering basic telephone support via their 24/7 support supplier, which includes support for Multi-Factor Authentication over the festive closure period.
Please note, that tickets logged via self-service will not be progressed until w/c Tuesday 2 January 2024 when IT Support teams return to work.

CitySport
CitySport will be closed Friday 22 December 2023 – Monday 1 January 2024, reopening on Tuesday 2 January 2024. However, you can access many of their training videos on YouTube still.
Food and drink on campus
Food and drink outlets, except City Café Costa in University Building and Bayes Café at Bunhill Row, will be closed across campus from Monday 18 December 2023.
City Café Costa and Bayes Café are open until Thursday 21 December 2023, 9am-3pm.
